Summer for me has come to mean "Polska Kielbasa" or Polish Days, a celebration that takes place in Ivanhoe, a small town of about 650 people in Southwest Minnesota. I can't wait for it, even though I still have no idea if I will manage to be there or not for the czarnina (duck blood soup), potato salad and the biala kielbasa (Polish sausage). Going there is about the most exotic thing I do my whole year.
