iTunes pain

posted Sunday, 17 April 2005
I bought a long book on iTunes and I´ve had a lot of trouble to just transfer it into a CD to hear in my car. If I can't resolve this really really soon, I will never again buy audio books in iTunes. I have tried to burn a CD and the first try ended up in a can't do, track is too long, some kind of error. Then I tried to get some software to do it and got ImTOO CD Ripper, free to try, buy for $23. The software seems fine but it won't work because the audiobook I bought is protected! Back to iTunes to try and deal with it. This time I managed to burn the first of 8 tracks/CDs. Happy and thinking my problem was solved I tried to burn the second and got stuck in the middle again. The track seems to be too large again and iTunes asks for a new blank CD. When I put a blank CD, it doen's acknowledge it and keeps asking for the CD. I tried a whole box of blanks before I gave up. I am so sorry for having chosen this option. In amazon.com, the audiobook would be here by now, it would have been cheaper, I would have heard it in the car already and my iPod would have it too. Actually, as many iPods as I felt like. What a mistake.
