Open Water, diving in the Great Barrier Reef
Open Water is a disconcerting movie, we set out expecting a survival story with some character building moments of truth and we end up with a realistic mistake that according to the article The True Story Behind Open Water Movie has happened about 76 times in the same area in 2002! The movie supposedly shows waht happened to a diving couple after having accidentally been left behind as a result of a mistake in the head count. When Daniel and Susan resurface, their boat is long gone.
Not much more to say : the film seems to have been shot by an amateur on vacation, at times. It doesn't deliver all the terror it promises, but it is still ok for a rainy evening.
