While my blog seems to be stuck with a draft I had saved and while I finish the translation of a long interview with Mia Couto, here goes a detail of a Self Portrait by Picasso (1906) that can be seen at the Picasso Museum in Paris, one of the places I have enjoyed to visit the most. There is also a Picasso Museum in Barcelona. I still have to go there, but at least I'm leaving the suggestion here.

Someone told me Picasso was a lousy person, his wives either killed themselves or entered depression. A topic to investigate or something to overlook. Does the artist character matter at all before the genious of his work? I think not, but this has been a much discussed issue and history abounds with examples of creepy charaters who have left their art to speak for them. Anyway, here is a good website about this, Picasso's Women.

A bullfifht scene at the Barcelona Picasso Museum.
