Why do you blog?

Sometimes people ask me this and I don't quite know how to answer. There are so many reasons but they all seem insignificant, may be it is only all the reasons together that make any sense or may be not. Anyway, if I think why do people in general blog, I believe it is because they want to be heard and are not satisfied with their audience in real life. May be nobody cares about their political ideas, or may be no one cares where they went last night and who they met, or waht they cooked for dinner, or what they are knitting right now, or who their favorite actors are. Some are trying to make money out of this. I hope they succeed but somehow the idea of a billion voices out there for no other purpose other than wanting to be heard strikes some romantic chord in me. Reaching out, making friends, telling strangers what family members do not want to hear, living out here.
