Some time ago, a friend asked himself if there are any scanning services, since the job of storing all your images on a CD is both appealing and time consuming. Fortunately, there are many places who will scan your photos and slides for you, saving you, not money, but a lot of time. To find them, there's of course Google.
While I was searching, I found a much more interesting thing: there are places who will scan people: Heads, faces and whole bodies! You can also scan small or large objects. I am really curious about the results. In the meantime, Gustav Klimt has himself scanned the beautiful face on the right.
It is called Full-Face Portrait of a Lady, 1898-1899, displayed at the Ă–stereichische Galerie in Vienna.
