What are the reasons to keep a weblog or to post your pictures online?

I found a few:

comment and link to interesting articles and content that they find on the Web relevant to their chosen topic area, and offer analysis or opinion.

real social commentary,

informing the world of injustices small and large

to look smart

just because it’s cool

some sort of personal knowledge management

centralized way to keep track of thoughts

a proof of some of my knowledge/contributions to a future employer

because we like the ones we read

to do a partial "brain dump" from time to time.

I also found reasons not no write a weblog!
