I will be in Chicago in a couple of weeks with only a day to spare. I have been there several times before , this will be a time to catch up on the city's novelties and to check some items in the Chicago to do list.
One of these items will be Trotter's to go, the great chef's to go restaurant for those that for one reason or other cannot go to the real thing. In my case, a baby is what stands between me and the real Trotter. Well, it is a much awaited visit and I'm looking forward to it. A little "bite" of the daily menu:
Ahi Poke: Tuna Tartare with Ginger, Sesame Oil & Garlic-Chile Paste
Gulf Tiger Shrimp Skewers with Mango & Charlie Trotter’s Mango-Tahitian Vanilla Bean Vinaigrette
Peekytoe Crab Cake with Pineapple Salsa
Seared Ahi Tuna Loin with Pink Peppercorn Crust
Another stop will be at the new Millenium Park (great photo gallery here), some photos at the Cloudgate sculpture (photo by Archie Florcruz) and the wavy pedonal bridge by Frank Gehry. The rest of the day is still open for planning...
